The player to the left of the big blind is the first to act. This player may raise his or her bet or check. Then, the dealer deals three cards face up in the center of the table. The players must then use these cards to form the best five-card hand possible. The player with the best hand will win the pot.
Poker is played with poker chips. At least 200 chips should be used for a game of seven or more players. The lowest chip is the white chip. The other chips are red, blue, or dark-colored. The chips are valued from two to five. Players buy chips to enter the game. Most players buy in for the same amount.
